What to Expect

These full day kids ski lessons at the beautiful Grossglockner/Heiligenblut ski resort are ideal for children aged 4 to 15, offering a memorable introduction to skiing in the heart of stunning alpine surroundings. With a stunning backdrop of the 3,798-meter Grossglockner, Austria's tallest mountain, the resort features 55 kilometers of slopes with varying levels of difficulty. Additionally, the Snowland kids area provides a safe and specially designed space for young skiers to learn.

On the first day, children are grouped according to their skill level, with no more than 12 kids per group. Our experienced instructors create a welcoming environment where each child can feel confident and excel. Throughout the lessons, beginners will focus on learning the fundamentals of skiing and becoming comfortable with their gear. As they progress, they will develop essential skills such as the snowplough technique, controlling speed, and making gradual turns.

A special highlight of the week is the kids ski race every Thursday morning, offering children the chance to experience the excitement of competition and showcase their new skills. A training session on Wednesday ensures they are fully prepared to navigate the gates with proper technique. To emphasize both fun and sportsmanship, every participant will receive a medal at the award ceremony following the race.

Meeting Time

We meet in the ski school office, 30 minutes before the start of the lesson. From the second day on, the meeting point may vary. Your instructor will inform you about that on the first day.

Lunch Care

If you book with supervision including lunch, our instructors will happily look after your children during the lunch break from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM. A delicious lunch is included. Alternatively, the instructor will inform you where to pick them up.

Ski Pass

First-timers do not need a ski pass for the first day of the lessons. The instructor will advise you when to buy the ski pass.

• Please note that the course only takes place with a minimum of 3 participants

• Ski equipment is not included in the price of the lesson

• Please make sure your kid has skis, ski boots, helmet, gloves & sunglasses or goggles at the start of the lesson

• During our courses we are always wearing a helmet

• Existing groups can be joined on request until Wednesday

• It is possible to switch between different skill levels during the course if a skier's abilities improve quickly
