What to Expect

These snowboarding lessons for kids and adults at the picturesque Grossglockner/Heiligenblut ski resort are perfect for first-timers of all ages eager to experience the thrill of snowboarding amidst breathtaking alpine scenery. With the 3,798-meter Grossglockner, Austria's tallest mountain, as a stunning backdrop, the resort offers 55 kilometers of slopes, including areas tailored for learning. Gentle, beginner-friendly zones provide the ideal environment to start your snowboarding journey in a safe and supportive setting.

On the first day, participants are grouped by age and experience, with no more than 12 people per group to ensure personalized guidance. Our patient and experienced instructors focus on teaching you the basics, such as balancing on the board, skating, learning to glide straight, and mastering your first turns. You’ll also practice controlled stops and build confidence as you get comfortable with essential skills like strapping in and maneuvering on gentle slopes.

Whether you’re a child or an adult, it’s never too late to begin snowboarding. These lessons provide a welcoming atmosphere, blending skill-building with the joy of learning alongside others. Meeting Time

We meet in the ski school office, 30 minutes before the start of the lesson. From the second day on, the meeting point may vary. Your instructor will inform you about that on the first day.

Ski Pass

First-timers do not need a ski pass for the first day of the lessons. The instructor will advise you when to buy the ski pass.

Good to Know

• Please note that the course only takes place with a minimum of 3 participants

• Snowboard equipment not included in the lessons

• Please make sure you have a snowboard, snowboard boots, helmet, gloves & sunglasses or goggles at the start of the lesson

• During our courses we are always wearing a helmet

• If enough people still need a course from Tuesday, the course can be extended upon request

• If the minimum number of participants is not reached, the ski school reserves the right to shorten the course duration
