Meeting & Preparation We meet at the appointed time at our dive centre in Vrsar. If you arrive by car, free parking is available at the centre or at the camping site car park. Please bring your dive certificate and logbook with you. After you have filled in the customer card, liability release and health statement, we will give you a briefing about the dive centre premises and you get the necessary dive equipment. Then you will meet your PADI professional and start the refresher course. Course content The first part of the course is about the dive theory. Important safety concepts and basics of dive planning are part of it. Then the assembly of the diving equipment is practiced. In the water of our house bay, Porto Sole, we practice the most important diving skills. This dive site offers two steep walls, which show a particularly species-rich flora and fauna. At 16 m a small wreck awaits you where sometimes the bizarre John Dory can be found. Underwater you can see sea needles, lobsters, congers, fork beards as well as numerous shoals of fish and antlers sponges. Colourful nudibranchs and a small wreck, as well as giant oarfish, are some of the highlights. The diving depth is 5 to 25 m. "I booked an introductory diving course online with Gueni, from land, with my partner's three kids (10, 11, and 14). The exciting, clear underwater world and the empathy of Katharina, Josef, and Gueni herself during the briefing and conduction were so great that all three kids absolutely wanted to participate in another introductory dive.
The next step up was the double-dive introductory course from the boat! The one-hour boat ride there and back from the dive site, which was located on an uninhabited island, was quaint and wonderful for everyone.
The encounters with the octopuses Bernhard and Henry, as well as many fish, sea cucumbers, and other creatures were a fantastic experience!
