We were warmly welcomed by the team at 2 p.m. and introduced to the fascination of rafting. The preparation was very well organized. There were changing rooms, toilets and a small restaurant. The general instructions and the safety regulations were easy to understand despite being in English. The equipment such as diving suits, paddles and inflatable boats were in perfect condition. Before getting into the boat, however, there was a cooling off and the first challenge. Swimming in the 5°C cold glacier water. During the rest of the tour there were also activities where we had to leave the boat. We would like to point out that good swimming skills are required, as stated in the description. However, you are never forced to jump into the water. But it is an exciting change. The difficulty of the tour is easy for beginners to master. There are few passages with "rushing" water. Since we are water sports enthusiasts, we probably could have booked the next level. Overall, however, we are very happy to have taken part in this event. It made us want more and rafting will be an integral part of our next vacation plans. A very personal thank you to our guides who led us down the river so professionally. 😀 Photos were included for a small additional charge. They spoke English, entertained us with jokes and their athleticism (e.g. front and backflips from 10 m high rocks into the water), and provided snacks and drinks (including beer) after we returned our equipment at the end.
