This tour requires a lot of endurance as we spend up to 6 hours walking, swimming and floating along the course of the river. Tour programmePreparationWe meet at "Praia Fluvial do Areinho", about
one hour drive from Porto. Here you will meet your guides, receive the necessary equipment and get changed. As soon as all participants are ready, we take you to the starting point of our river trekking tour on the Rio Paiva.
TourBefore you start you will receive a
safety briefing from your guide. Then we hike and swim along the river. On the way we pass rapids, waterfalls and natural pools which invite you to take a dip. If you dare, you can also try one or the other
cliff jump into the refreshing water.
ReturnAfter
about 3 hours in the river we return to initial meeting point.

- Description: The Rio Paiva is especially famous for the "Passadiços do Paiva", a network of wooden walkways that lead through untouched nature. In the summer months, river trekking along Rio Paiva combines a welcom erefreshment with an unforgettable adventure in the middle of Arouca Geopark.
