What to Expect

Does your child want to learn to ski but isn’t sure yet if it’s the right thing? Then this trial day for children aged 4 to 5 is perfect! In the heart of the Zillertal, young adventurers begin a wonderful ski journey where they learn the art of skiing with ease and joy.

The specially designed kids’ park is perfectly equipped to teach children how to ski through games and fun activities. It also serves as the meeting point for all children’s ski courses and can easily be reached on foot from the mountain station II. With its three magic carpets and a specialised, safe and separated practice area for children, this resort ensures a fun and educational experience for young skiers. With the help of our magic carpet, children are transported up the practice slope so they can learn to balance on skis and make their first turns with confidence.

The ski lessons are specially designed for children and use modern teaching aids such as ropes, tyres and fun noodles to create an exciting and enjoyable experience. In the large play tent with swings and slides, children can play and take a short break in between lessons.

The highlight of the week is the children’s ski race on Thursday, where every participant receives a certificate and a medal – a wonderful memory of the progress they have made. With a mix of structured learning and playful activities, these courses offer an unforgettable introduction to the world of skiing.

Meeting Time

We meet 15 minutes before the course starts at the mountain station, 50 metres to the left in the kids’ park of the Skischule Optimal.

After purchasing your ski pass, please take the red gondola on the left side to the mountain station (second stop). From there, walk about 50 metres to the left to reach our meeting points. Meeting point for children’s ski courses: Kids’ Park. Please allow 15–20 minutes for the gondola ride from the valley to the ski area.

Lunch Care

Please pick up your children for lunch in the Kids’ Park between 11:45 and 13:15.

Ski Pass

Please be aware that you need a ski pass to take your kid to the meeting point.

Kids do not need a ski pass for this course.

Good to Know

• For the Christmas holidays & school holidays in February, we recommend you book early in advance due to high demand

• Please note that the course only takes place with a minimum of 5 participants

• Please make sure your kid has skis, ski boots, helmet, gloves & sunglasses or goggles at the start of the lesson

• During our courses we are always wearing a helmet

• The Kinderpark is located in the ski area directly at the mountain station on the left. The gondola ride from the valley to the ski area takes approx. 15 - 20 minutes.

• Trial children have the safe option to extend the ski course on the following days.

• The children’s ski race course is located in the kids’ park behind the 40-metre-long magic carpet. Beginners start on the right at the exit. The ski instructor will announce the start times and award ceremony on race day. Only children attending the course until Thursday are allowed to participate.
