What to Expect

This snowboard course in the beautiful Hochzillertal-Kaltenbach ski area is ideal for children from 8 years old and adults who want to start their snowboarding journey. Located in the heart of the Austrian Alps, the resort offers breathtaking alpine scenery with a variety of slopes perfect for all levels. The area is well-equipped with modern facilities, including several lifts and cozy mountain huts, providing a comfortable learning environment.

The course begins with an introduction to the equipment for beginners to ensure everyone feels comfortable and safe before hitting the snow. Afterwards, you’ll learn your first turns, a fundamental skill that forms the basis for more advanced techniques. Understanding how to turn effectively is crucial for controlling speed and direction on any slope.

Throughout the course, your snowboard instructor provides individual feedback and support so that each participant can make effective progress. The course encourages you to build confidence on the slopes. The beauty of the Hochzillertal-Kaltenbach ski area combined with professional instruction creates an unforgettable learning experience!

Meeting Time

After you have purchased your ski pass, take the red gondola on the left to the top station (the second stop). From there, you will walk about 50 meters to the left to reach our meeting points.

Meeting point for the snowboard course: 15 minutes before the course starts, behind the kids’ park at the blue flag.

Ski Pass

All participants need a ski pass from the first day of the lessons. You can buy your ski pass at the ski lift ticket office or online before the first lesson.

Good to Know

• For the Christmas holidays & school holidays in February, we recommend you book early in advance due to high demand

• Please note that the course only takes place with a minimum of 5 participants

• Please make sure you have a snowboard, snowboard boots, helmet, gloves & sunglasses or goggles at the start of the lesson

• During our courses we are always wearing a helmet

• The meeting point (blue flag behind the kids’ park) is located in the ski area directly at the top station, 50 meters to the left. The gondola ride from the valley to the ski area takes about 15–20 minutes.

• The ski pass is not included in the price of the lesson.
