What to Expect

Your kid wants to learn how to ski? Then these kids ski lessons for first timers between 4 and 12 years in the beautiful ski resort Kaltenbach are ideal! Nestled in the heart of the Alps, Kaltenbach offers a perfect blend of scenic beauty and excellent facilities. The resort is renowned for its well-maintained slopes and a dedicated Kid's World, where children can enjoy skiing in a safe and engaging environment. With its three magic carpets and specialised children’s practice area, this resort ensures a fun and educational experience for young skiers.

The ski lesson begins with a warm welcome at the Kid's Park, a specially designed area filled with playful equipment like ropes, fun-noodles, and Big Foot skis. Here, children will be introduced to the basics of skiing, learning how to balance and move on their skis. The use of these playful tools makes the learning process both fun and effective, ensuring that each child gains confidence on the snow.

Throughout the day, the children will enjoy full-day care, with breaks in our child-friendly restaurant for meals and rest. The highlight of the week is undoubtedly the children's ski race on Thursday, where every participant receives a certificate and medal, fostering a sense of achievement. Parents can also relax knowing their children are well-cared for, while they enjoy the freedom to explore the resort's other slopes. With a mix of structured learning and playful activities, these lessons offer a memorable introduction to the world of skiing.

Meeting Time

We meet at the mountain station 50 metres to the left in the children's park of the Optimal ski school.

After purchasing your ski pass, take the red gondola on the left up to the top station (second stop). From there, walk about 50 metres to the left to reach our meeting points. Meeting point for children’s ski courses: Children’s Park

Lunch Care

If you book including supervision with lunch, our instructors will be happy to take care of your kids during the lunch break from 11:45 am to 1:15 pm. A delicious lunch is included. Alternatively, you can pick them up from the kids' area "Kinderpark" if you booked without supervision.

Ski Pass

Kids up to 6 years old don't need a ski pass for the lessons. All kids above need a ski pass.

Please be aware that you need a ski pass to take your kid to the meeting point.

Good to Know

• For the Christmas holidays & school holidays in February, we recommend you book early in advance due to high demand

• Please note that the course only takes place with a minimum of 5 participants

• Please make sure your kid has skis, ski boots, helmet, gloves & sunglasses or goggles at the start of the lesson

• During our courses we are always wearing a helmet

• The kids’ race course is in the Kinderpark behind the 40-meter covered conveyor. Beginners start on the right at the exit. Start times and awards will be announced by the ski instructor on race day. Only children with lessons until Thursday can participate.

• We recommend that beginner children (4-5 years) start with a taster course.

• The Kinderpark is located in the ski area directly at the mountain station on the left. The gondola ride from the valley to the ski area takes approx. 15 - 20 minutes.

• The ski pass is not included in the price of the ski lesson.
