What to Expect

If your kid wants to improve their skiing skills, then these kids' ski lessons for kids between 4 and 12 years with skiing experience in the beautiful Hochzillertal-Kaltenbach ski resort are ideal! Nestled in the stunning Zillertal Valley, this resort offers a perfect blend of scenic views and versatile slopes for all skill levels. The resort boasts modern facilities and a welcoming atmosphere, making it an excellent choice for young skiers looking to enhance their abilities.

The course is designed to make skiing easy and fun, with a focus on adventure and learning. In small groups of no more than 12 children, participants will find it nice to learn with others, creating an engaging and supportive environment. The lessons incorporate a special ski technique developed specifically for children and teenagers, using state-of-the-art teaching aids and ideal terrain forms. The children will first get familiar with their equipment, an essential step to building confidence and control on the slopes.

As the lesson progresses, young skiers will learn parallel skiing, technique refinement, and manoeuvring in rougher terrain and steeper slopes. These skills are crucial for developing agility and precision, allowing kids to tackle more challenging descents safely. By the end of the course, participants will have gained a solid foundation in skiing, ready to take on new adventures with newfound confidence and skill. A highlight of the week is the race on Thursday, which adds an extra layer of excitement and achievement.

Meeting Time

We meet at the mountain station 50 metres to the left in the children's park of the Optimal ski school.

After purchasing your ski pass, take the red gondola on the left up to the top station (second stop). From there, walk about 50 metres to the left to reach our meeting points. Meeting point for children’s ski courses: Children’s Park

Lunch Care

If you book including supervision with lunch, our instructors will be happy to take care of your kids during the lunch break from 11:45 am to 1:15 pm. A delicious lunch is included. Alternatively, you can pick them up from the kids' area "Kinderpark" if you booked without supervision.

Ski Pass

Kids up to 6 years old don't need a ski pass for the lessons. All kids above need a ski pass.

Please be aware that you need a ski pass to take your kid to the meeting point.

Good to Know

• For the Christmas holidays & school holidays in February, we recommend you book early in advance due to high demand

• Please note that the course only takes place with a minimum of 5 participants

• Please make sure your kid has skis, ski boots, helmet, gloves & sunglasses or goggles at the start of the lesson

• During our courses we are always wearing a helmet

• The kids' ski race course is located in the children's park behind the 40 metre long conveyor belt. Advanced children start on the left-hand side. The times for the start and the award ceremony will be announced by the respective ski instructor on the day of the race before the start of the course and, for organisational reasons, only children who have ski lessons until Thursday can take part in the race.

• The Kinderpark is located in the ski area directly at the mountain station on the left. The gondola ride from the valley to the ski area takes approx. 15 - 20 minutes.

• The ski pass is not included in the price of the ski lesson.
