This course is a good starting point and a cheaper alternative to the Open Water course, which allows you to take part in diving excursions accompanied by a professional diver and get to know the exciting underwater world! Goal of the course After successful completion of the course contents, you will receive an internationally recognized diving certification as a SSI Scuba Diver. Meeting & Preparation At best, you come to our diving centre already 1 or 2 days before the beginning of the course, so we can get to know each other, and we can already take care of the bureaucracy. If you arrive by car, free parking is available at the centre or at the camping site car park. You will fill in the customer card, liability release and health statement and receive the SSI Open Water Manual, so you can prepare already some theory. Then you get to know your SSI instructor and get a briefing about the premises and the exact procedure of the course. Course content In this course, you will learn in 2 days approx. the first 3/5 of the Open Water course in theory and practice. This includes the first 3 theory modules as well as confined water modules 1 to 3 and open water dives 1 and 2. The confined water lessons take place in the shallow part of our Porto Sole bay. For open water dives 1 and 2 you will dive to the deeper part of our home reef. "I booked an introductory diving course online with Gueni, from land, with my partner's three kids (10, 11, and 14). The exciting, clear underwater world and the empathy of Katharina, Josef, and Gueni herself during the briefing and conduction were so great that all three kids absolutely wanted to participate in another introductory dive.
The next step up was the double-dive introductory course from the boat! The one-hour boat ride there and back from the dive site, which was located on an uninhabited island, was quaint and wonderful for everyone.
